Nedrow, N.Y. — A Liverpool woman reported missing earlier this week was found dead in Onondaga Creek on Friday, deputies said.
Jacqueline Chiodo, 43, was found around noon in the creek near Dorwin Avenue in Nedrow, according to Thomas Newton, a spokesperson for the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office.
At this time, foul play is not suspected, he said. The official cause of death will be determined by an autopsy.
Chiodo had been discharged from Upstate Community General Hospital in the town of Onondaga on Tuesday. An Uber had been scheduled to pick her up, but she never got in.
On Thursday, deputies urged Nedrow-area residents to check around their homes and yards for any sign of Chiodo because they were concerned for her safety and that was where she was last seen.
