Syracuse, N.Y. - A tractor trailer struck the Park Street bridge Wednesday afternoon, police said.
The truck, from North Carolina trucking company AY Logistics, struck the bridge at around 1 p.m., according to Kieran Coffey, a Syracuse Police Department spokesperson.
The driver left the scene before police arrived but was later located by officers, Coffey said.
While there was no reported structural damage to the bridge, the trailer sustained extensive damage to its roof, Coffey said.
Pieces of the truck roof were stuck to the bridge and scattered in the street below.
The driver received tickets for leaving the scene of a property damage accident and exceeding clearance, along with two tickets for disobeying a traffic control device, Coffey said.
No injuries were reported, according to Coffey.
