Editorial cartoons for Nov. 23, 2025: Saudi prince visit; Epstein legislation; ‘Quiet, piggy’

President Donald Trump welcomed Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for a state visit last week. The president rebuked a reporter for asking a question about the prince’s role in the murder of Washington Post journalist Jamal Kashoggi, saying, “Things happen.”

Steve Breen leads this week’s editorial cartoon gallery with his view of Trump shining MBS’s shoes and telling journalists, “Quit asking him questions about people he had killed! You’re embarrasing yourselves.” Bill Bramhall follows with the prince tracking bloody footprints on the White House red carpet. Jack Ohman provides an alternate meaning for the acronym MBS, “Mister Bone Saw,” referring to the fate of Kashoggi’s body.

Another hot topic this week is Trump’s sudden turnabout on release of the Jeffrey Epstein files. After months of delay and pressure, the president signed the bill passed overwhelmingly by Congress to release the files, which are thought to contain more embarrassing revelations about powerful Washington figures and their relationship to the disgraced financier. Nick Anderson sees Trump in a barrel bobbing toward the Epstein Files waterfall.

Other news events in this week’s gallery include the president’s “Quiet, piggy” insult to a female journalist on Air Force One; high grocery and energy prices; and a proposed Ukraine peace deal that would require the country to cede territory to Russia.
