South Bend, Ind. — Sophomore running back Yasin Willis is missing Saturday’s game at No. 9 Notre Dame while he undergoes concussion protocol, a team official told syracuse.com | The Post-Standard.

Willis did not travel with the team.

Willis, Syracuse’s leading rusher, missed one game earlier in the season against FCS Colgate. He leads the Orange in rushing yards at 558 and rushing touchdowns with four.

Syracuse entered the week, as it has for the last six games, without starting quarterback and Notre Dame transfer Steve Angeli. Now, the Orange is without both its leading passer and leading runner.

The Orange is also without wide receivers Justus Ross-Simmons and Emanuel Ross.

Syracuse healthy otherwise on offense as starting center Austin Collins is expected to play. He and redshirt junior guard Joe Cruz split reps with starting quarterback Joe Filardi in warm-ups.

Syracuse will also have its usual starters available on defense and special teams.
