Syracuse, N.Y. —Syracuse men’s lacrosse has added its first defenseman to the recruiting Class of 2027.
Long pole Jake Goodwin of Lawrence Academy (Mass.) and Hilltop Lacrosse announced his verbal commitment to Syracuse on social media on Monday morning.
Goodwin (six-foot-two, 210 pounds) is listed as a three-star prospect by Inside Lacrosse.
Goodwin had a strong spring for Lawrence, piling up 40 caused turnovers and 51 ground balls last season.
Goodwin joins Top 100 attack Max Kruger, face-off specialist Gentry Curtis, No. 7 overall prospect and top-rated goaltender Moe Sobel, No. 52 overall prospect Garrett Sullivan, No. 80-ranked SSDM Quincy Quillard and All-CNY prospect Adrian Sweeney in Syracuse’s 2027 recruiting class.
