A rock legend is making headlines after an onstage meltdown at a concert.

Guns N’ Roses singer Axl Rose appeared to throw his microphone at new drummer Isaac Carpenter’s drum kit Saturday in Argentina. The 63-year-old frontman also kicked the bass drum and stormed off stage after singing the chorus to GNR’s opening number, “Welcome to the Jungle.”

“So, I’ll just try and wing this,” Rose said in one clip showing the crashout.

According to TMZ sources, Rose was not angry at Carpenter’s drumming. Rather, he was upset with technical issues and allegedly could only hear the percussion instruments in his earpiece.

The sound problems were reportedly fixed by the third song, and the show went on. It was Guns N’ Roses’ second of two concerts at Estadio Tomás Adolfo Ducó stadium in Buenos Aires.

“It had nothing to do with the drummer who is top notch and great,” an insider told the Daily Mail.

Guns N’ Roses is currently on tour with Rose, Carpenter, bassist Duff McKagan, lead guitarist Slash, and rhythm guitarist Richard Fortus. Carpenter, known for his work in AWOLNATION and with McKagan in the band Loaded, replaced longtime drummer Frank Ferrer in March.

Ferrer, whose exit was described as “amicable,” was part of Guns N’ Roses from 2006 to 2025, serving longer than drummers Bryan “Brain” Mantia (2000-2006), Steven Adler (1985-1990) and Matt Sorum (1990-1997).

“I will have immense gratitude and love always for Axl and the band while at the same time, disappointment that this chapter came to an end. It has been an incredible 19 years,” Ferrer said in March. “Guns N’ Roses has given me life-changing memories and experiences. A huge thanks to management, the crew, and fans for giving me memories that I will cherish for my lifetime. I hope I see you all again soon!”

Guns N’ Roses is one of the best-selling rock bands of all time, known best for ‘80s and ‘90s hits like “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” “November Rain,” “Paradise City,” and “Welcome to the Jungle.” The group, including Rose, Slash, McKagan, Adler, Sorum, Izzy Stradlin, and Dizzy Reed, were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012.

According to NME, Slash recently hinted a new Guns N’ Roses album is “coming” and that “everybody [in the band] is thinking about it.” If true, it would be the first full-length GNR album since 2008’s “Chinese Democracy” (which did not include Slash or McKagan) and second since 1993.

“There’s so much material at this point – it’s a matter of having the discipline to sit down and f---ing get into it,” Slash said, according to NME. “But the thing with Guns is, in my experience, you can never plan ahead. You can never sit down and go, ‘We’re going to take this time, and we’re going to do this.’ Every time we’ve done that, it falls apart.”
