Town of Manlius, N.Y.- Four Seasons Golf & Ski Center, in operation for more than 60 years, is closing permanently.

The center at 8012 E. Genesee St. between Fayetteville and Green Lakes State Park will shut its doors Nov. 15.

Owner John Goodfellow put the business with 13.5 acres of land around it up for sale in January and now has a buyer. The sale is pending, according to Goodfellow.

The new owner has other plans for the land, so it won’t be a ski center anymore, Goodfellow said in a message.

The center offered skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing December through March. From April through October, the center offered miniature golf, soccer, batting cages and a driving range.

Goodfellow said previously it was time for him to retire.

Four Seasons was priced at $2.5 million, according to its real estate listing.

Goodfellow said a rope tow up the hill was first offered in 1962, and skiing started the next year. At that time, the business was called 90 Acres Four Seasons. It changed to its current name in the late 1970s.

The center started making snow in 1974.

Four Seasons is open from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays to sell its equipment.
