Pedestrian hit by car in Utica in serious but stable condition

Utica, N.Y. — A man was seriously injured Friday night after he was hit by a vehicle in Utica, police said.

Around 8:50 p.m., police and firefighters were called to Armory Drive near the Parkway for a report of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle, according to a news release from the Utica Police Department.

Officers found the man with serious injuries. He was taken to Wynn Hospital, where he remains in serious but stable condition, police said.

The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with officers.

The crash remains under investigation. Police ask anyone who witnessed the accident to call Utica police at 315-223-3510.
