Micron chip factories in Upstate NY will be delayed by 2-3 years, company says: Micron Technology will delay opening its first two chipmaking factories in Clay by two to three years, the company said in a report made public Friday. That would mean the first factory wouldn’t open until late 2030 — eight years after Micron announced in 2022 it planned to build in Central New York.

Cornell University to pay $60M in deal with Trump administration to restore federal funding: Cornell University has agreed to pay $60 million and accept the Trump administration’s interpretation of civil rights laws in order to restore federal funding and end investigations into the Ivy League school. Rep. Elise Stefanik announces run for NY governor: U.S. Rep. Elise Stefanik is officially running for governor of New York. The Republican congresswoman announced her gubernatorial bid Friday morning, calling out Gov. Kathy Hochul as “the worst governor in America.” Stefanik also posted a campaign kickoff video Friday that surprisingly left out a big name: President Donald Trump.

Entertainment set for Syracuse Christmas tree lighting: Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh has announced details for what will be his final downtown Christmas tree lighting in office. The annual event is set to take place Nov. 28 iin Clinton Square. The 42-foot tall artificial tree on the east side of the square features more than 10,000 multi-color LED lights and 400 branches. The entertainment lineup is set, as well.
