A trip to Buffalo isn’t complete without wings, and the Jonas Brothers knew it.
On Sunday, Nov. 9, the band made their final Upstate New York stop on their Jonas20: Living the Dream tour at KeyBank Center in Buffalo before heading to New York City to appear on “Good Morning America.” Amidst their busy schedule, Nick and Joe Jonas still made time to enjoy the city’s most iconic dish: Buffalo wings.
On a recommendation from their driver, the brothers, joined by longtime bodyguard Robert “Big Rob” Feggans, headed to Gabriel’s Gate in Buffalo’s Allentown neighborhood. Known locally as “The Gate,” the historic spot is a staple on the Buffalo Wing Trail and has been serving up saucy plates since opening in a building originally constructed as a row house in 1864.
In a video shared online, Nick and Joe are seen diving into a basket of wings with pints of beer and plenty of bleu cheese.
“I can smell it. It’s actually intoxicating,” Joe said into the camera before taking a bite.
Channeling actor Stanley Tucci in “Searching for Italy,” Joe gave a playful, over-the-top review: “I’m getting a hint of spiciness. I’m getting a hint of flavor. Vinegar. Pineapple. A zest of pineapple,” he joked. “No pineapple, but literally, it’s unbelievable.”
“Overall, 10 out of 10,” Nick added.
The brothers praised Gabriel’s Gate staff and ended their video with a Buffalo rallying cry, “Go Bills.” Big Rob later chimed in on Nick’s post, agreeing the wings were “awesome.”
The shoutout didn’t end there. During their Buffalo concert, Nick gave another nod to the “incredible” wings, according to a video posted to Gabriel’s Gate’s social media.
This Buffalo show wrapped up the Jonas Brothers’ string of Upstate New York performances, which also included stops in Syracuse and Saratoga Springs.
