At the end of last season, Liverpool took the crown with a 25-9-4 record, and 84 points. They led the pack by more than three wins over second place Arsenal. Rounding out the top five were Manchester City, Chelsea and Newcastle, who all qualified for the UEFA Champions League group stage, while sixth-place Aston Villa headed to the Europa League along with 12th place Crystal Palace, who beat Man. City in the FA Cup Final.
