The Syracuse Orange men’s lacrosse team season is finally at an end, following elimination from the 2025 NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Championship in a 14-8 loss to the Maryland Terrapins on Saturday, May 24.
During the regular season, ACC Network is the most common home of Syracuse Orange lacrosse on TV, along with other ESPN family channels, such as ESPNU and ACC Network Extra. After 14 regular season games, the ACC Tournament ran through May 4, and the NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Tournament runs May 7 through 26.

During the regular season, Syracuse finished 9-5, but thanks to back-to-back upset wins in the ACC Tournament, the Orange still found their way to the NCAA Tournament, and started the tournament ranked No. 5 in the nation according to Inside Lacrosse. The Orange entered the tournament as the No. 6 overall seed.
In 2024-25, the Orange returned four of its top five scorers from last season including junior attack Joey Spallina, who led SU and finished third in the country with 88 points. SU also returns redshirt senior attack Owen Hiltz (65), junior attack/midfielder Finn Thomson (38) and junior midfielder Michael Leo (37) on offense. Syracuse also had an experienced defense with juniors Billy Dwan and Riley Figueiras along with seniors Caden Kol and Nick Caccamo returning his season. All were once again under veteran experience of head coach Gary Gait.
