The 2025 NCAA Soccer season is ramping up, with the Syracuse Orange men’s and women’s soccer teams slated to kick off exhibition play in early August, and the first regular season games approaching soon after.

After a challenging 2024 season for both teams, a highly-anticipated fresh start kicks off Thursday, August 14 against Charleston Southern for the women, and Thursday, August 21 against UConn for the men.

Most Syracuse soccer matches during the 2025 season will air on ACC Network or ACC Network Extra. Channel listings for 2025 have not been confirmed as of this update, but will be available as the season progresses.

Additional live games will stream exclusively on ESPN Plus.

What is ACC Network Extra?

ACC Network Extra, a.k.a. ACCNX, is a streaming-only “channel” exclusive to ESPN.com and ESPN apps — but it still requires a cable subscription or live TV streaming subscription to access. Where can I stream the 2025 Orange Soccer season for free without cable? Which service is best?

• DirecTV Choice (5-day free trial, then $30 off your first month) is one of the top options worth considering. If you act fast, the Tier 2 plan from DTV, which includes ACC Network and usually costs $89.99 per month, is on sale for just $59.99 per month for a limited time, thanks to an ongoing deal. DTV Stream is still missing ESPN Plus, so you’ll ultimately need to add that if you want comprehensive SU Soccer coverage.

• Multiple streaming services offer ACC Network, but one of the simplest solutions for Syracuse Orange soccer fans is to sign up for Hulu + Live TV (3-day free trial, then $82.99 per month). The free trial window is small, but Hulu + Live TV is the only streaming service that includes both ACC Network and ESPN Plus in its base pricing, giving you the most comprehensive coverage for your dollar. The combined cost will rise to $69.99 for the following months, but it still comes in about $12 cheaper than Hulu+ Live TV.

• ESPN Plus ($11.99/month) is generally not the best option, because it does not include every game carried on ACC Network, but it is worth adding on to Sling, fubo or DTV. As a reminder, Hulu + Live TV includes ESPN Plus in its base pricing, so there’s no need to pay extra for the service.

• fuboTV ($20 off first month, then $84.99 per month) is another option for Syracuse Sports fans to consider. It includes ACC Network and access to ACC Network Extra. It is missing a small number of games exclusive to ESPN Plus, but also offers an additional 230+ channels, unlimited screens and unlimited cloud DVR. College Sports fans will also get access to Big 10 Network, CBS Sports Network and ESPN channels, all in the base price.

The 2025 Syracuse Soccer season begins in August, with the women’s season kicking off first on Thursday, August 14, and the men’s season kicking off the week after on August 21.
