Syracuse, N.Y. — The Section III football championships went pretty much as expected, according to the power rankings.
Christian Brothers Academy, Whitesboro, New Hartford, General Brown and Lowville were the highest power-ranked teams in their respective classes and won their title games. Morrisville-Eaton was one spot behind Frankfort-Schuyler, but defeated the Maroon Knights in the 8-man championship.
In our final power rankings, the six champions sit atop with CBA coming in at No. 1, followed closely by General Brown.
We used a formula to determine the best teams in Section III football all season. The power rankings are computer-generated, based on many factors, including — but not limited to — win-loss record, strength of class and point differential.
