Two pop-punk bands are teaming up to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their biggest albums.
The Early November and Hellogoodbye announced a joint tour to mark the 20th anniversary of their 2006 albums, “The Mother, the Mechanic, and the Path” and “Zombies! Aliens! Vampires! Dinosaurs!” in 2026. Tour dates include one Upstate New York stop on March 1 at Electric City in Buffalo.
Tickets for the Buffalo concert are on sale now at electriccity.com. Price start at $26.74.
Fans can also look for tickets to shows in other cities on StubHub, Vivid Seats and Seat Geek.
The Early November is an emo/alternative rock/pop-punk band that recently released its seventh studio album with frontman Ace Enders and founding drummer Jeff Kummer. The New Jersey-based group is best known for 2000s songs like “I Want to Hear You Sad,” “Something That Produces Results,” “Every Night’s Another Story” and “Decoration (Rocvk Version).”
Hellogoodbye is an indie pop/pop-punk/electro-dance band led by singer Forrest Kline. Their 2006 album “Zombies! Aliens! Vampires! Dinosaurs!” featured the top 20 hit “Here (In Your Arms)” and fan favorites like “Oh It Is Love,” “Touchdown Tunaround” and “Baby It’s Fact.”
“I often felt like a fish out of water,” Kline told Nylon of the success of “Here (In Your Arms)” in 2016. “I came into it with this ‘fake’ pop concept, and when it was accepted as ‘real’ pop, I was confused. I always felt like an imposter at some MTV Spring Break concert or playing a Coca-Cola fest with LL Cool J. It never made any sense, like, ‘You guys know I made this in my bedroom for, like, $100, right?’”
“It was beautiful and bizarre at the same time. To make music was ALWAYS the goal, and I’m not sure I’d still be here doing it if not for most of that, so I’m immensely grateful. But it really felt like being inducted into a bachelorette party the whole time, like, ‘You guys sure you wanna party with me? I’m a boy... really? The sash and the crown and everything?’”
Pop-punk, emo and alternative rock exploded in popularity during the Warped Tour and MySpace eras. The scene has seen a resurgence in recent years, with new music and tours from artists like Motion City Soundtrack, Hawthorne Heights, New Found Glory and The Cab.
